sklandytuvas statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Sparnų keliamas, savo masės varomas, sunkesnis už orą skraidymo aparatas be variklio. Dauguma sklandytuvų pradinį aukštį ir greitį gauna velkami lėktuvo, žemės vilkiko, amortizavimo lyno (vilkties). Yra sportiniai ir transportiniai sklandytuvai. Pagal vietų skaičių sportiniai sklandytuvai skirstomi į vienviečius, dviviečius ir daugiaviečius. Pirmąjį sklandytuvą pagamino prancūzas Z. Le Bri 1868 m.
